QUESTION 1

What is your favourite colour & why?

My love for colour is evident in my designs, I find blue elegant and is the colour that I most relate to. It reminds me of my childhood home by the sea in the city of Lima where I used to spend most summer days watching the sea meeting the blue sky.

QUESTION 2

What are you working on at the moment that you find exciting?

We are in the process of gathering the various elements that will compose our stand for London Design Week 2024 where we will be displaying an array of new sunshades with an interesting approach to our wallcoverings. We are also launching a new collection of painted furniture.

QUESTION 3

What inspired you to create this product?

There is a important need to create more sustainable products for our interiors. We are grateful to have found Abaca, this beautiful sustainable fibre which is the core of our sunshades, wallcovering and rugs made with the most conscientious craftsmanship.

QUESTION 4

Where do you go for / what do you do for inspiration?

I love to travel, I find inspiration in every new place I visit whether is a city, desert or a very remote island.

QUESTION 5

Do you have a cherished object you would never part with? What is it & why?

I am a custodian of some beautiful pre-Colombian tapestry from Paracas over 2,000 years old. They hang in my study and are a constant reminder of the incredible work that has managed to survive all these years from this Peruvian culture. If you have not been there, I recommend a visit to Paracas and the nearby Nazca lines, you will not be disappointed.
