Natalie Tredgett is best known for framing the delicate balance between poetic and livable spaces, creating and building from this fundamental place of harmony. She has an instinctive and signature way with colour, particularly when used in combination with decorative art. Her work is modern, immersive, playful, elegant and bold. Natalie is passionate about artful living and the effect it has on our state of mind. Articulation of self is key to her vision. She encourages her clients to put their desires above all else and to find joy and freedom in the creativity of self-expression. Natalie recommends placing meaningful artistic objects that specifically represent her clients’ story. Natalie works tirelessly to find, curate and install these objects that tell that story. She has also purposely created a limited furniture line with a view to extend joyful and versatile living. Her spaces are seriously unique.

Natalie founded her studio in 2012 having established herself under design guru Nicky Haslam. She trained in Interior Design at KLC, has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, and a background in management consultancy. Her work is inspired and informed by her colourful clientele, fashion, art, travel, music, craft, collaboration and an effervescent desire and commitment to communication across the board. Her curiosity towards the forefront of cultural and social ideas is evergreen.

Spaces should go above and beyond the conventional boundaries of explanation. They should be less understood and more felt....let them wash over and consume you. Enjoy being in them, let them understand and inform you.

MOVED BY THE UNCONVENTIONAL

Our clients can be sure that their experience with us will reflect our own expectations of high standards and quality, gleaned from our beginnings. Natalie works collaboratively, pulling a team together according to the demands of the project - from architects, general contractors, to garden design and landscape teams including specialist trades such as joinery, kitchen and environmental specialists. The studio prides themselves on actively looking for and working with unique specialist craftspeople. Natalie’s trade resources and makers for creative living are incomparable.

The studio works on a range of residential and boutique commercial projects. We mostly work with clients who require full refurbishment from architectural design to decoration and installation. We are currently working on projects in the UK and Canada and have recently completed an International second home in France.

We begin with design concepts that reflect our interpretation of the clients brief. These are communicated with the use of architectural drawings, spacial planning and floor plans, images and sketches. We then build a budget to form the basis of further design development, which includes sample boards, elevations, and 3D rendering where applicable. More detailed design is completed in packages such as joinery (millwork) drawings, kitchen/bathroom specification, electrical plans and environmental recommendations. Alongside a quantity surveyor, we prepare documentation for a tendering process and manage the design and decoration from conception to completion in partnership with the respective teams.
