I love the fabrics and trimming of Casa Luiza. It reflects my love of colour and quality of craftsmanship. Luiza and I share a passion for textiles and its gift of comfort and pleasure.
Casa Luiza is a collection of limited edition, luxury upholstery interior design pieces. Handmade in the UK with meticulously chosen fabrics sourced globally from some of the top fabric producers.
QUESTION 1
What is your favourite colour & why?
Definitely green, every shade! It’s a colour that gives me energy and reminds me of the beauty of nature.

What are you working on at the moment that you find exciting?
My ’10 minutes with…’ where I chat with some amazing names in our industry (including you!) and I will be sharing these with everyone very soon.
QUESTION 3
I love how you work with the most exceptional craftsman to make your beautiful products. What inspired you to start Casa Luiza, how did it come about?
Casa Luiza is all I love in interiors! It includes beautiful fabrics, trimmings and cushions but also my love for Contemporary art. I wanted to have something under one roof! An accumulation of 20 years in the industry. The Casa Luiza fabrics and trimmings range is mainly inspired by colour and my constant search for the perfect shade!

Where do you go for / what do you do for inspiration?
A big source of inspiration for me is travel. Not just abroad, but I often take time out in London, where I live, to go to museums and art galleries. I recently discovered the Garden museum, next to Lambeth Palace. It is a total gem! I also love perusing books, I never have enough books and they are a wonderful source of inspiration!
QUESTION 5
Do you have a cherished object you would never part with? What is it & why?
I have a beautiful wooden antique etagere which belonged to my grandmother. She went to see a play and this was one of the props. She fell in love with the piece and bought it. It reminds me of my childhood and summers spent at my grandparents in Rio.
